I Praise You Lord:
  • The three new Frontier Village cabins slept 278 high school students this summer and 28 of them accepted Christ as their Savior, 20 found assurance of their salvation and many other decisions were made.  What a blessing to have more beds!
  • Summer preregistrations are at an all-time record level at 161% higher than pre-covid 2019.  Some weeks are half full and particularly our Senior High Programs filling fast.
  • The Ladies Retreat participants rated their overall experience 4.73 on 1-5 scale.  Attendance was the highest in many years.
  • Guest groups are not back to the pre-covid level, but they are catching up quickly.  Early bookings for 2022 are encouraging.
  • His House Ministries will be here October 15th – 17th  with universities students from most of the campuses in Michigan.  With some schools not doing in person they still hope to have a capacity crowd.
  • We have opened applications for the 2022 summer staff, and we are off to a great start.
  • With Covid overseas our Exiled speaker, Felix Tamas, was not able to get a visa to travel to the States.  We are grateful for Nate King and Brant Cole for coming and speaking.  Because Andrew Postema is an American citizen he will still be coming and helping us to follow through on the Romanian theme.
  • This spring the LIFT interns traveled to Fishtail, Montana to help the Beartooth Christian Camp to get their doors back open after 18 months of being closed.  Director Gary Adams was very appreciative of the interns’ efforts, and he reported that they had a great summer of ministry.
I Pray For
  • The Lake Ann Camp board who will be meeting on site on Friday, October 8th to lay out the priorities of the 2022 camp budget.
  • The following retreats in October:
                      Exiled middle school retreats October1st – 3rd and 8th – 10th.
His House College Ministries October 15th – 17th.
Father/Son Retreat with speaker John Scally October 22rd – 25th.
North Bridge Church with speaker Ken Riley October 29th – 31st.
  • Exiled is a middle school retreat and this year’s theme really underscores the value we have in owning copies of God’s Word.  In the Romanian theme we place campers in an imaginary communistic country where they do not have freedom to worship or own a Bible.  The weekend resolves with the “Revolution” and the establishment of a democracy where Bibles are restored, and worship services are accepted.  Pray for Nate King and Brant Cole as they speak that God will use this week in a great way.
  • The recruitment of the 2022 summer staff.  Ken and the intern team will be at Cedarville University for their job fair Wednesday October 6th.
  • Elliott as he selects his summer program directors from those who have counseled in our past.
