Applications are now open for scholarships (valued up to $1650) to complete the Agricultural Health and Medicine (HMF701) unit provided by the National Centre for Farmer Health and Deakin University School of Medicine, starting Trimester 1 2022.
Without doubt the most important aspect of a productive agricultural industry is a healthy workforce. Through this unit you will learn about the poor health on the ‘other side of the fence’ and its impact on agribusiness, agricultural production and sustainability, and help to improve the health outcomes of farming men, women and children.
You will increase your understanding of the social, environmental, physical and mental health factors that result in higher rates of injury, illness and death in rural and remote communities. This information will be beneficial to rural professionals looking to improve agricultural production and sustainability or to improve health provision, research, policy and literacy in rural and remote communities.
The National Centre for Farmer Health provides a limited number of scholarships to financially assist students who would like to undertake further study in Agricultural Health and Medicine.
Scholarships close on 24th October 2021. To find out more or apply follow the link below.
