Health Inequalities Commission and BwD Equity Task Force
On Monday 20th September there is a major on-line event to launch the Lancashire and South Cumbria Health Inequalities Commission, which is being chaired by Sir Michael Marmot, world renowned Professor from the Institute of Health Equity.
We would encourage everyone in Blackburn with Darwen, who is interested in the equality, diversity and inclusion agenda to sign up for the event and listen to what Sir Michael has to say.
Following the event, Community CVS will be holding a series of on-line discussions to work out what this means for Blackburn with Darwen. These sessions will take place between October and December 2021 culminating in a conference style event in early 2022.
We are also using the CVS Application Form to update contact details for existing CVS members so please fill it in even if you are already a CVS member.
I will look forward to seeing you on-line either on the 20th September or the subsequent on-line meetings.
Best wishes Garth Hodgkinson
Chief Executive
