Dear 7th Grade Families,
It has been Adath's tradition to have the students of the upcoming B’nai Mitzvah year lead Havdalah at the end of the Yom Kippur service. Based on the guidance from our COVID-19 advisory committee we believe it is necessary, unfortunately, to welcome a much smaller group of students to the Bimah than originally planned. Additionally, we felt it would be meaningful to invite those students from the past year who celebrated their B'nai Mitzvah on Zoom to lead Havdalah. Therefore, your child (ren) will not be leading the Havdallah at the Neilah service for Yom Kippur on Thursday, September 16th. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding and apologize for any confusion this change of plans has caused.
