Another successful Empire Clean Cities Stakeholder Meeting!

The event was held in conjunction with the NYC Parks Annual Equipment and Vehicle Show, which showcased over 130 vendors and exhibitors with alternative fuel vehicles and emissions reducing technologies, right under the iconic Unisphere.

Green Loading Zones (GLZs) Pilot Program- Survey
|
|
The New York City Department of Transportation is seeking feedback to inform a Green Loading Zones (GLZs) pilot program. The pilot program will leverage curb regulations to incentivize low-emission and electric commercial vehicles (green vehicles) by providing dedicated curb spaces for loading and unloading activities. Access the online 10-15 minutes survey through October 15, 2021. We welcome participation from managers in freight logistics, trucking, and fleet management sectors.

New York State Volkswagen Settlement Funds: Current Programs
|
|
Rebate incentive funding is now available for fleets and businesses in NYC Industrial Business Zones (IBZs) for the replacement of older, diesel-fueled trucks with alternative fuel or electric vehicle technologies. Funding available from $12,000 to $185,000 per truck replacement, depending on fuel type and truck class size.

*UPDATE: Funding has been exhausted for Class 8 PHEV, HEV, CNG, and Propane Vehicles*
NYTVIP provides vouchers to fleets across New York State for the replacement of older diesel vehicles with the purchase or lease of electric, conventional hybrid electric, compressed natural gas, or propane medium- and heavy-duty vehicles. Voucher amounts are based on a percentage of the incremental cost of the vehicle.

NYC Announces $75M in EV & Infrastructure Investments
NYC Mayor’s Office of Climate and Sustainability and DCAS announced a major funding push in support of its mission to electrify its entire fleet. A total of $75 million in new investments to purchase 300 new EVs, install 275 DCFC stations, deploy 20 portable vehicle chargers, install 11 new solar-powered carport chargers, and more!
