THIS MONDAY, September 20th
5:00 pm Event, 6:30 pm Debrief
Virtual

Join us as we pilot our NEW series: a virtual debrief following an event listed in the newsletter. We are starting this discussion series with the intention of processing the events, holding space for dialogue, and creating community.

Here are the details of our first public event:

- On Mon. 9/20 at 5:00 pm, Fenway Health's The People's Sex Ed program is hosting Sex Ed and Social Justice. The webinar includes an interactive lecture and group discussion on the connections between sexuality education, social power, and collective liberation. Register here.

- Around 6:30 pm, or a few minutes after the event ends, the Pleasure Pie team will host our debrief following this event! Join us on Zoom.

P.S. Don’t have time to come to the debrief but still want your voice to be heard? Do you feel like helping improve the newsletter for future issues? Fill out our Event Feedback form.

FAQs:

Q: $$$?
A: Admission for both the event and the debrief is FREE. Just make sure to register for the event here

Q: Can I come?
A: Please do! This event is open to the public. Bring your friends!

Q: Why?
A: Sometimes the best part about attending an event is having the chance to debrief about it with somebody who was there too. Like, "I was really challenged/confused/inspired/tickled by what the speaker said about _____" or, "Did it feel a little transphobic/racist/SWERF-y/trippy to you when _____ happened, or is it just me?"

We're hoping this debrief (and possible future debriefs!) will be a way to build a sense of community among newsletter readers/creators, help us all process the events, and help us newsletter writers get a clearer sense of what the events we're recommending to you are even like.

Thanks for reading, and we hope to see you there!

With pleasure,

P.S. We usually don't send anything other than Boston's Sex-Positive Newsletter to this email list, but I am making (another) exception because we would love to create a space for community dialogue, and hope you will join us.

P.P.S. Nicole did an interview this morning with Somerville City Council candidate Willie Burnley Jr. on why he's running for office and what that has to do with sexual liberation. Watch it here.
