Experts estimate the new Child Tax Credit has the potential to cut child poverty in half. It provides the largest Child Tax Credit ever and provides historic relief to most working families ($3,000 per child between 6-17 years old and $3,600 per child under six years old).

Register today for the upcoming Child Tax Credit navigator training on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 1:30 – 2:30 PM EDT. This training will be presented as a collaboration among the following agencies:

• HUD’s Office of HIV/AIDS Housing (OHH)
• U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Administration of Children and Families’ (ACF) Division of Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA) and the Office of Trafficking in Persons (OTIP)
• U.S. Department of the Treasury
• The White House

The training is intended for Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA), FVPSA, and OTIP grantees to learn how to help eligible families enroll in the Child Tax Credit.

This one-hour session will provide an overview of the Child Tax Credit and walk through the Non-Filer Portal to show attendees how they can help families enroll in this historic Child Tax Credit.

Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the presenters. While this training is targeted towards HOPWA, FVPSA, and OTIP grantees, it is appropriate for any service provider who works with families who may be impacted by intimate personal violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, dating violence and human trafficking.

Registration is required. The maximum capacity is 1,000 attendees.

When registering, under Comments/Questions, you will need to indicate which grant you are associated with: HOPWA, FVPSA, or OTIP. Registrations cannot be confirmed without this information.
