UWM Circle 5 will take pre-orders until October 13th for pecan halves, medium pieces, small pieces or milk chocolate covered pecans. The price will be $10 per bag. All volunteers who work with our children and youth are required to be trained annually. This keeps everyone involved in our congregations safe! We will host a Safe Sanctuary Training on Thursday September 23. The training will begin at 6:30pm via zoom. Please Contact Pastor Edward if you need training and are unable to attend.

While FUMC is in the process of finding a Children’s Minister, First Kids is starting up and we need your help. Please consider volunteering so we can provide programming for our children! A lesson plan and all materials will be provided to you. The lesson plan will be emailed to you in advance and all necessary materials will be in the room upon your arrival ready to go.

MINISTER OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
FUMC Asheboro is searching for a Minister of Children and Families whose main responsibility will be children’s ministry, but will also oversee our nursery and Family Ministries. The Staff Parish Relations Committee wishes to take the appropriate time in the hiring process to make sure that we find the best person for this ministry. This will be a part-time salaried position. This person must show a passion for Jesus and for God’s people, a love for children, understand child development and embrace Methodist theology and be accepting of all people. In an effort to best meet the needs of our church family, we have compiled the following communication guidelines and schedule. We ask that you please reference the number below to get in touch with FUMC’s pastors and staff members, as we are still working modified schedules in the midst of the pandemic. Church office hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Closed for lunch from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Also, we have staff meetings from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Tuesday afternoons. Please leave a message if you call the church office during that time.
