Portsmouth Pride is BACK! I'm thrilled to be working with Seacoast Outright to help put on this event next month, and I cannot wait to see all of you there!

Stay tuned for details and mark your calendars for Saturday, October 9.

12pm // Pride March gathers at Market Square — EVERYONE WELCOME!

12:30pm // March to Strawbery Banke Museum

1pm – 6pm (at Strawbery Banke Museum main event field) // Featured speakers followed by a Youth Talent Showcase and other musical guests on the Mainstage! Pride Marketplace featuring food, activities, vendors, community resources and more will be open until 5pm!

Note that this is a vaccinated event (with the exception of children under 12), and we will also have an on-site vaccine clinic at the Marketplace for those who have not yet been able to get vaccinated! Masks required during march and at Strawbery Banke Museum when not eating.

WANT TO GET INVOLVED RIGHT NOW?!

Sign up to march in a group or as an individual! Registration is not required to join the march, but it helps us to plan and makes sure we can keep you updated about any changes. We're also trying out a new idea this year: connecting individuals who are interested in marching with a group to the folks who are gathering their own formal and informal groups of marchers! // bit.ly/pridemarch2021

Be part of the Marketplace! We're still accepting applications for vendors, including nonprofit tables, local artists and food trucks. // bit.ly/pridemarketplace2021

Perform in our Youth Showcase! Open to all young people ages 12 to 21 who'd like to perform on the Pride Mainstage! Please submit applications by Friday, September 24. // bit.ly/PRIDEPerformers

And finally, please email me (Cecilia) at pride@seacoastoutright.org with any questions or to let me know if you're interested in volunteering at the event!

REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH!

Yesterday the NH Executive Council voted 4-1 to defund three reproductive healthcare centers that also provide abortions by denying them family planning contracts with the state. These organizations (Planned Parenthood of Northern New England, Equality Health Center and Lovering Health Center) together provide services to 80% of patients in the NH Family Planning Program. This jeopardizes healthcare access for thousands of Granite Staters and has devastating consequences for the organizations, especially for the two independent health centers, which are both dedicated to serving our local LGBTQ+ communities.

Donate now (if you can).
