This weeks message

DNA is the chemical name for the molecules that carry genetic instructions in all living things. Every living thing has DNA and one of the amazing things about it is that everyone’s DNA is distinct. We each have our own unique genetic signature. Although the church is made up of people who are living beings, the true life of the church is spiritual and there is also a unique spiritual signature to the church, kind of like DNA. Of course, we can’t do a DNA test on the church, so figuring out its true DNA is more complicated. Because of that people sometimes disagree about what the DNA of the church really is. So, with this series we’re going to take a look at the scripture to clarify the true DNA of the church and dive into the implication of that means for us.

Orchard Women's Retreat
March 25-27, 2022 at the beautiful Cambria Pines Lodge. The theme will be “Our Identity in Christ” based on Ephesians 2:10. This retreat is open to all women, from juniors in high school on up! Scholarships will be available for those that need them. It's a wonderful weekend to get away, hang out with your Orchard friends, and grow a little deeper in your walk with God.

Registration Has Begun! - Come by the Welcome Center table on Sunday to pick up or drop off your registration packet.

Fall men's breakfast - October 9, 8:30-10:30 am tickets are $7

New Members Class (In-Person and Virtual Options)

Our next Orchard New Member’s class will be held on the first three Monday evenings in October (4, 11, and 18) from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. The class will be led by Pastor Matt and is an opportunity to learn more about faith and our church family.

Sessions will include an opportunity to get to know one another and an introduction to Orchard as well as conversations about:

The basics of the Christian life
What we believe
Life together in the church

At the end of the class, you will have the opportunity to join the church if it feels like the right step for you. A makeup session can be scheduled with Matt if you have a conflict. LuAnn Smith will be the class host and will offer insight from the perspective of a member and Elder.
