The Ontario government has released guidance for businesses and organizations to support them in implementing proof of vaccination requirements, which take effect on September 22, 2021.
Businesses are responsible for ensuring they meet the requirements regarding proof of identification and proof of vaccination.
The guidance document is linked below via the red button and explains what types of businesses are impacted (page 3), the steps required when reviewing a vaccine receipt (page 8), exemptions (page 4). You are encouraged to review the entire document.
NOTE: An enhanced vaccine certificate and verification app will be available by October 22, 2021. Ontario’s proof of vaccination guidance will be updated to reflect the new processes.
What is a Business Improvement Area? A Business Improvement Area (BIA) is made up of commercial and industrial property owners and their non-residential tenants who join together under a volunteer Board of Management (BIA Board) to carry out improvements and promote economic development within their designated area.
