Show & Tell

The children at Westbury on Severn primary school took part in a Kindness Workshop last week and made lots of beautiful birthday cards for a young girl who isn't very well at the moment. It's going to help her have the best birthday ever!

Did You Know?

Kindness is teachable...just like how you might train your body to lift heavy weights or to run really fast, by being kind, you can build up your 'compassion muscle' and train your brain to be even kinder.

Kind Story

A single mum in Cheltenham, Nicole, has to regularly use food banks to feed herself and her children. One morning, her children found an envelope that had been posted through their letter box, containing £100 in cash!

Nicole had no idea who provided this generous gift to her, and all that was written on the front was ‘Random Act of Kindness, Please Pay it Forward’. Nicole spent the money on food for her children and petrol for the car. Nicole said she will ‘pay it forward’ in non-financial ways until she has the money to help someone else in the same way.

She says that this has proved to her ‘there are very good people out there who want to help’.

Self-Kindness Tip

When we sleep, it helps our body stay healthy and strong. It also helps our brain to think more clearly so we can learn new things. Best of all, it helps us to feel happier. So getting a good night's sleep is a great way to be kind to yourself!
