24 Days and Counting...
The OUT on the Brazos Planning Committee has been hard at work over the past few months planning this years event. We are so excited to let the WPN community know that we have 40+ vendors sighed up for the event! OUT on the Brazos will also feature live musical performances, Drag performers, live art, and spoken word.  

In addition to day of events, this year will also feature some pre and post OUT adventures! More information is listed below but make sure to keep an eye on social media for more information about these additional events!
Want to Volunteer for OUT on the Brazos?

OUT on the Brazos is a large community event put on by volunteers! That means that we need all the help we can get for the event to be successful. If you are able to volunteer on October 9th, please let us know by completing this volunteer application so we can match your interests with our day of volunteer needs!
Pre and Post OOTB Events 
  • Pre-OUT on the Brazos Event 
    • The Royal Sovereign and Imperial Court of the Central Texas Empire will be hosting a Drag and performance show the night of October 8th with all proceeds raised benefiting OUT on the Brazos! This event is open to anyone 18 years or older as the bar will be selling alcohol. Masks are encouraged when moving around the venue and will be provided if requested as well as sanitizer. For more information, watch the WPN Social Media and check out the Facebook event page!

  • 18+ OOTB After Party Event 
    • Stay Classy, Waco
      • WPN will be hosting an OOTB after party at Stay Classy, Waco, sponsored by... Stay Classy, Waco! This event is 18+ and will feature a DJ, drag performers, and lots of community and fun!

Time: 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm

  • Youth Event 
    • The Dragaret House of Legendary Children and along with the Waco Youth Pride Association will host a youth after party event at Rogue Media Network. This event will have drag and musical performances along along with free food for youth attendees!

Queer Trivia Night... was AWESOME!
Waco Pride Network, in partnership with Brotherwell Brewing, hosted its first Queer Trivia night this past week on September 9th. We had a great turn out and so much fun!
Thank you to everyone who came out and if you are interested in more community events like trivia, make sure to let us know!

Rainbow Roll - Disco!
September 16th
  • Come skate with us at Skate Waco on September 16th from 8:00-10:30pm. The theme this month is DISCO so come dressed to to impress, or just come to skate! See you on Thursday. 

Wellspring Gathering - 
September 19th
  • Wellspring Gathering, an inclusive, trauma-informed community-in-the-making interested in spiritual healing and wellbeing, will be on August 19th at 1:00pm and you can find them on Facebook or email kyndall.rothaus@gmail.com if you have any questions.
Beers and Bingo -
September 27th 
  • The next Beers and Bingo will be held on September 27th from 5:00-7:00pm. Come join us at Southern Roots Brewing to play bingo, win some prizes, and enjoy some time out with the community! This is a family friendly event, everyone is welcome!
Community Groups 
The Parent Support Group is for parents of LGBTQ+ kids to provide mutual
support and resources in their journey to support, affirm, and respect their kids for who they are. The next meeting is September 14th from 6:00-8:00 pm. Please email Lucas Land at lland@wacopride.org for the .

The Waco Youth Pride Alliance was created and is led by LGBTQ youth in the Waco Community with the goal of increasing the visibility, support, and understanding for LGBTQ youth in our community. If you are interested in joining the WYPA, please contact us to get connected. If you are an adult who would like to volunteer to help with the WYPA, please fill out our volunteer form.


TNG is Waco Pride Network's group for The Next Generation. Anyone 18-24 who identifies as LGBTQ+ or allies is invited to join this Facebook group as we build our community in Waco

WPN is currently working on a new LGBTQIA Adult Group!. We have just started the process of forming this group and welcome any help in naming the group and getting it off the ground. If you would like to help with this process, please send us an email at board@wacopride.org.

While we love to create the Newsletter and graphics each month, we would also love to have the WPN community involved in the process. If you are interested in helping with Newsletter content, photos of events, or creating graphics for events or social media, please let us know! How to get involved with Waco Pride Network


We need some Volunteer Help! As we continue working toward OUT on the Brazos, we need volunteers! If you are interested in volunteering for OUT, helping with other events, making phone calls for community resources, or any other skill set you might have we would love to have you complete a volunteer form. 

In addition to general volunteering, we are always taking future board applications. If you would be interested in a future position on the Waco Pride Network Board, please send the board an email at board@wacopride.org. 



The WPN is an all-volunteer nonprofit and its efforts are made possible by those willing to donate one's time, talents, or finances to help make our dreams possible.

Whether our volunteers' contributions include a $5 monthly donation, vendor participation, donation of one's precious time, community support, committee membership, or even liking and sharing social media activity, each volunteer makes a huge difference.
