I hope this is already deeply imbedded in your calendar, mind, and heart...
This invitation to come to Mindful Monday, that arrives every month and reminds you of where you've been and perhaps what you long for. At least, that's part of my motivation to practice: to remember my intentions, to be awake to my choices and choose wisely what moves me in one direction or another. I'm so aware of how I drop into that sensibility, so easily sometimes... and yet, other times, I find it elusive.
And that's why practice is so important: it reminds us of how we can turn towards what is present, receive what is here without judgment, but rather with curiosity, see clearly our habits of mind, the fears and striving, as well as the wholesome awareness that we can simply rest in the present moment... because we live our life one moment at a time, so each moment matters. Each moment presents us with an opportunity to choose how we engage with what is present, with no pressure to make it be any different.
I hope you'll come next 3rd Monday, Sept 20th 6-7:30, via Zoom, whether as a regular or perhaps ready to lean in for the first time. No pressure to show up in any particular way, no need to feel guilty about what you haven't done or what you've lost, simply welcomed to arrive and rest in the companionship of fellow practitioners, with a familiar voice and structure, and perhaps inspiration to stay with it. And also, Fall classes are coming right up! Perhaps you'd like a refresher, or to try the other class? Or know someone else that you could recommend? Here's the info, and the Orientations are next week. I'm grateful for any considerations.
I hope to see you Monday! And if not, I send you well-wishes, that you are healthy and managing as best you can to bring your best self forward, more often than not.
