Figure Model Drawing Sessions
Wed. Oct 6, Wed. Oct 20, Wed. Nov 3, and Wed. Nov 17

The Department of Visual Art is hosting 4 nights of figure model drawing sessions at the List Art Building. This opportunity is open to all currently enrolled VISA students. From 8pm-10pm on every other Wednesday beginning Wed. Oct 6 until Wed. Nov 17, students will have the opportunity to join a group of peers for an evening of figure drawing. Space is limited. Monitor Hours give students enrolled in VISA courses the chance to work in the studio outside of class time. Monitor Hours are as follows:

Black + White Darkroom (321), Digital Print Lab (512), Painting (510), and Printmaking (310)

Sunday, 4pm-11pm
Monday-Wednesday, 7pm-midnight

Book Arts Studio, John Hay Library

Welcome Back Gathering for Concentrators

Join the Department of Visual Art on the 2nd floor terrace for a celebration for our newly declared and established VA concentrators. This is also a chance to meet the new VA DUGs and the new Academic Department Manager, Si Jie Loo.

Fall Gallery Lottery

Want space for an exhibition? Come to the lottery to apply for a week-long exhibition in one of the three student galleries in the List Art Building this fall. If you are a VA Concentrator graduating this semester (.5er), you must come to this lottery to secure a spot for your Senior Thesis Exhibition.

Student Employment | Ivy Film Festival

Apply to IFF to help curate and produce the largest student-run film festival in the world. We hold year-round events both in-person and virtually, which are free and open to the public. Our mission is to create a platform for storytelling and the exchange of ideas between industry professionals and emerging creatives in the hopes of curating a vision of Hollywood for the next generation. We host advanced screenings, Q&As, panels, and workshops with industry professionals, and so much more. For a peek at past festivals, click here.

Departments seeking new members are branding, business, events, new media, outreach, programming, publicity, screenplay, speakers & screeners, diversity & inclusion, and web. All Brown and RISD students are eligible to apply, even if not enrolled in courses this semester. No prior experience necessary to apply.

BDH Illustrators Wanted! The Brown Daily Herald is looking for artists to contribute illustrations for both print newspapers and online articles this Fall. This is a great opportunity to have your work published and appreciated by the Herald's extensive readership as well as a unique opportunity to experiment with new styles of visual art.
