Finding a new Minister for TEC
An announcement about the vacancy will be made during the Church service this Sunday, 19 September.  
The Trustees met on Wednesday 15 September.  It was decided that we should continue to wear masks during services but that we would re-instate singing (from behind our masks). 
The Trustees will continue to review restrictions every month. 
The Methodist Church has released a press statement in response to the IICSA (Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse) investigation into Child Protection in Religious Organisations and Settings.  The statement can be found on the Methodist Church website:

You can also request a copy of the statement by application to the Church office. 
The Prayer Tree has been changed to the Autumn season.  Please feel free to write prayers of thanks or petition on a card from the box and peg it on the tree.  Judy Ash.
Steeton Methodist Church is re-starting their Afternoon Coffee, Cake and a Chat from 2.30pm - 4.00 pm on the last Tuesday of every month. All welcome.

Messy Church starts again on 18th September from 3.30 pm - 5.30 pm. 

Next month we are celebrating Harvest at Messy Church on Saturday 16 October.  On Sunday 17 October, there will be NO 10.30 am Morning Worship, however there will be a 9.15 am service of Holy Communion.  

Messy Church is for everyone!  Each session starts with craft activities followed by a game, a story, songs, and a prayer.  We finish by having a simple meal together

June Mallinson is now taking Christmas card orders for the Children's Society. 
Church craft club has now re-started.  Come along on Wednesdays from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm. All are welcome. Just £1 a week and that includes a cuppa and a biscuit.

Folk can either bring their own knitting, sewing or craft and enjoy the company, or we sometimes work together on a range of crafts to provide displays for the church and for charity
