Erik D. Lord

May 9, 1968 - September 10, 2021

 
 

Eternal rest, grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Danvers - Erik D. Lord passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 10, 2021. Born in Beverly, MA, he was the son of John Timothy and Linda (Byrd) Lord of Fremont, NH, and was the devoted husband of Victoria (Rybicki) Lord. Erik is survived by his two loving brothers, Brad Lord, along with his wife Kathleen; their sons Ryan and Connor of Avon, CT, and Matthew Lord; his wife Kelly, and their children Hayden and Emersyn of Stratham, NH.

Erik graduated in 1986 from Beverly High School and attended Gordon College in Wenham, MA. He was a dedicated employee of Costco where he was employed for over 31 years, working in the Dedham, Everett and Danvers locations. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Patriots and Red Sox, enjoyed playing golf with family and friends, fishing, and anything to do with animals. He was a boating enthusiast, owning five during his life. The "Irresponsible," the "Victoria," the "Pisces," the "Faith-Anne" and the "L'il Faith."

Erik will be remembered for his extreme generosity, his compassionate heart, his loyalty, protective nature, and for always thinking of others before himself.

His funeral service will be held at Garden City Church (formerly Immanuel Congregational), 140 Bridge St., Beverly, MA, on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home at 525 Cabot St., Beverly, MA, September 17, 2021, from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Erik's name to the Northeast Animal Shelter in Salem, MA.
