We've been busy to say the least. As of 9/15/21 our new cookbook was available for PRE-ORDERS and released 9/30/21! Our founder created this cookbook in conjunction Etali Designs to expose the world to Angolan & Portuguese cooking and culture & raise money towards the construction of a school on our IC Community in Angola! All profits made from the book sales will go towards the constructing of a school in Ucua-Bengo, Angola. LIVE COOKING CLASS SUCCESS!

Thank you for attending our fundraising event, we hope you enjoyed the virtual LIVE cooking class hosted by Inda Cares, Inc. & Yummy Tummy Food Co. We had some success with our 1st virtual cooking class this year. We were able to raise about $495 and sell about 11 tickets to our event. Our original goal for the class was to raise about $400-$600 so thanks to you all we were able to reach the goal. We received great feedback from the attendees and have already gotten requests to do more virtual cooking classes. It would not have been possible without the help of all the board members and volunteers that attended that day and that helped create social media content for the event! Stay tuned for more fundraising events like the one mentioned above (Cookbook) & our annual #GivingTuesday online campaign efforts. All monies raised from these fundraisers will go towards the construction of a school for children in need.

Philtilda
Hi my name is Philtilda Daa. I am a highschool senior at North Star academy in Newark New Jersey . I have volunteered at multiple soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and organized many food drives . I love to give back to my community and also to my people so this organization helps me to broaden what I love to do .

NEWS FROM ANGOLA

REFUGEES
The African Union (AU) provided $150,000 in support to Angola so that they could aid the 56,497 refugees living in Angola. Currently refugees are from Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Burundi, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Republic of Guinea, Chad, and Liberia.
The refugees living mostly in Viana district in Luanda have been facing so many difficulties in their lives both in their home countries and at the refugee centers. There has been particular attention paid to refugees with special needs and the kind of assistance needed to support them.
We hope that the monetary support goes a long way in helping these populations as they deal with all these major transitions in their lives.

COVID
Angolan Parliament has pleaded for a global partnership in the fight against Covid-19 via equal distribution of vaccines. At the 5th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Vienna, Austria
He highlighted the importance of access to the vaccines and discussed various actions developed by the Angolan government surrounding prevention and control of the pandemic. So far these are the statistics of Angola's Covid cases:
*47,000 cases
*40,000 of those cases were recovered
*1,000+ deaths

KALAHARI RALLY VICTORY
Congratulations are in order to the Angola Rally Team on their victory at the Kalahari Rally 2021 in South Africa. The drivers were Joao Lota and Nuno Santos who won 2nd place, driving a Cam Am Maverickx3. This competition took up 32 hours+ across 6 stages and more than 900 km.
Great job team!
