NJ Gleaning Week Volunteer Opportunities!

Next week (9/19–9/25) is the official NJ Gleaning Week, as signed into state law back in 2016. In fact, Wednesday is designated Farmers Against Hunger Day! To celebrate and promote gleaning as a tool to combat both food insecurity and food waste in New Jersey, we are planning to pack the week with gleaning events. If you have a few hours to spare, we would so appreciate your help in making this week a success! Read on for details:

Every year we work with our farm partner, Lee Turkey Farm, to find volunteers to help with their very busy Sukkot holiday event.  Volunteers assist with ticketing, register, answering guest questions, parking, etc.  For all volunteer hours provided, Lee Turkey Farm will make a monetary donation to Farmers Against Hunger.

We are looking for volunteers for the following shifts:
