St. Stephen the Witness has always been blessed with individuals who decide to give of their time and talents to better our faith community. In both small ways and large ways, people like you give to make our Center one of the premiere centers in the entire midwest.

I want to give special shout-out to Dan Schmitz and Dick Levis. They are members of a group called the Catholic Order of Foresters. From time to time, the Foresters will descend on our campus and provide much needed grounds support. Most recently, these two were instrumental in taking down a dead tree near the volleyball court. Tonight, the Foresters will celebrate a milestone anniversary (120 years) for their organization with a Mass and dinner here at St. Stephen's. We thank both Dan and Dick for their countless contributions to our Center, and through the intercession of our patron St. Stephen the Witness may all who volunteer continue to be blessed!

Peace,

Paul

Dive Deeper: Exploring the Catholic Tradition

These Wednesday night sessions are open to anyone and everyone - come to one, more, or all of them. This is a way to grow and better understand the Catholic faith and Traditions followed.

Tonight: A walk through the Mass and an explanation of the chapel with Tristen Perreault

Next Week: What Makes Catholics Different? with Fr. Jon Seda
The Fall Antioch Retreat is quickly approaching! Antioch is a faith-filled retreat led by students, for students who want to grow closer to Christ and to develop relationships with other students. It is a two-day experience away from campus to encounter reflective talks, games, quiet, and fun!

This year's retreat will take place on Saturday, October 23 through the 24th at the Northeast Iowa Christian Service Camp. If you are interested in coming on this retreat, use this link to sign up. Please contact Tristen Perreault or Paul Lee with any questions.
TONIGHT we welcome Fr. Theodore Hagarty, OSB, a monk of Marmion Abbey in Aurora, Illinois, for Primetime.  He will be available for Reconciliation at 8:15 pm and celebrate Mass with us at 9:00 pm.  Come and learn more about the beautiful monastic tradition in our Church.  Fr. Theodore will be available much of Thursday for any women or men who wish to meet with him for spiritual direction, vocational discernment, confession, or just to chat over a cup of coffee. Meetings can be arranged through Fr. Jon or directly with Fr. Theodore tonight.
Happy Birthday to our first-year FOCUS Missionary, Jake! It has been a joy to have him around St. Stephen's so far, and we are excited to continue to see what the Lord has planned for his time at UNI. If you see him around today, be sure to wish him a Happy Birthday!
