Torrefied Wood

Torrefied wood again? Is this some sort of déjà vu?

I have been hosting an invitation only private chat group for over 15 years now. There is a ton of information on this site and the searchable archives contain enough info to write several books. Maybe I should do that some day.
Recently one of the topics that came up on the group was about torrefied wood. There seems to be a lot of misinformation out there about this wood and the torrefication process. Several years ago I was in Canada and visited the source of where most of the torrefied wood for the lutherie industry comes from. Of course, I had my camera with me and rolling while I interviewed someone about the torrefication process. This should shed some light on the subject.
