Thank you everyone who joined in our very productive Zoom 'Town Hall Meeting', discussing proposed options for linking the Gwent League women's and men's race distances.  You can view these options here.

Please note that these proposals cover the senior races only, and will only take effect after Cardiff, over which, as part of the British Athletics Cross-Challenge Series, we have no control (for this year, at least).  There will be no change to junior race distances.

Voting will be in two rounds.  The first round will establish which of the four options is the most popular.  The second round will establish whether that option is preferred over the status quo (there is no guarantee that the most popular option is favoured by the majority).

Voting for the first round is now open.  Each club has two votes, which must come from a leading committee member on behalf of that club.  One person should cast both votes, which may be for the same, or two different options.  Please do not vote if you are not authorised by your club,

Voting for round 1 closes at midnight on Sunday, 26th September.  NB The league does not hold a comprehensive list of club contacts, so, if you are not on your club's committee, please forward to someone in your club who can engage with this.
