Forward Forward

Jambo <<First Name>>! We just got back from over 2 weeks in Tanzania and let me tell you... A-frican (I freakin) love Africa!

I'm amazed at how God partners with us to see His Kingdom come and His will be done here on earth as it is in Heaven. As we love people, as we obey Him, as we are moved by compassion into action... we are His hands and feet. The Gospel isn't just about going to heaven when we die. The Gospel of the Kingdom is to proclaim freedom for the oppressed and sight for the blind! The Gospel is about Jesus restoring what was broken by sin... and we have a role to play!

In Africa we got the crazy privilege of partnering with God as we loved on orphans, encouraged Maasai believers, and trained the long term teams there. One girl who received our training was oppressed by a health issue that had gone on for years. We prayed for her and 2 days later she contacted us to say that she has been healed! She is now actively putting the training to action by making disciples in a dark part of Tanzania.

(More pictures at the end!)

Up Next:
This week we are heading to Syri@ where we will:
- Connect with, encourage and train the new believers we met on the last trip
- Raise up leaders among our groups there so they can continue to meet and grow together
- Visit a refugee camp where ex-!S!S families live

The border crossing is only open two days per week so we will enter on Wednesday and leave on Sunday.

I head back to the U.S. at the end of the month to visit family and share with people stateside about what God has been doing. Apparently being a worker overseas doesn't excuse you from jury duty in my district so that is on my to-do list as well.
-Let me know if you want to meet up while I'm home!

Australia is beginning to slowly open up again so I am praying through when to return.

Update on P and R

As you may remember from my previous updates, I have been helping to disciple a couple of Ir@nian women here in Ir@q.
R was angry, bitter, and trying to find "peace" by ignoring her past and worshipping nature. Her daughter, P, was suicidal, angry, unforgiving, and wanted nothing to do with her mother. She is a believer but was struggling in her relationship with God. For weeks we prayed and fasted and discipled these women to reconcile, give their whole hearts to Jesus, and live in the freedom and abundance that He purchased for them. Here are some pictures of how they are doing now...

The transformation power of Jesus is evident in the lives of these women.

R said yes to Jesus, and was baptised! P chose to let go of her unforgivness and actually helped to baptise her mother... the same woman that she hated a couple weeks prior.

When R came up out of the water she crumbled to her knees and began sobbing and wailing. She later explained that she felt like she went to the bottom of the ocean and was pulled back up. The old R is dead and gone. She is a new creation now!

I have connected these girls to an Ir@nian woman here who is working with our team to continue discipling and walking with them when I am back in the states.

More from Africa!

The Samaritan Village Orphanage is a tangible picture of partnering with God. There are 59 children being cared for at Samaritan Village orphanage. Most have been dumped and abandoned, left to die.

There are 10 Maasai girls here who had been tricked into sex trafficking because they were told they were being taken to get a good education in another city. They were rescued and now they are free to enjoy their childhood, surrounded by amazing, Godly people. Because of the generosity of sponsors, they are able to go to good private schools and get the education they had been cheated out of! One girl told me she loves studying science and wants to be a doctor!

Ive been sponsoring a little girl, named Florence, for 3 years and it was such a blessing to be able to hug her and laugh with her and love her in person.
