Back to School Night
We have rescheduled and revised the plan for Back to School Night so make sure to note the corrections for dates, times and check-in instructions. The in-person overview is an adult-only event for parents in Primary 3 through 8th grade. Please confirm attendance and remember to wear a mask while on school premises.

The athletic games canceled last week due to the tropical storm are back on the calendar.

Student pictures are scheduled per division. Review the dates to ensure your child wears the chapel uniform on their picture day.

Early Childhood Dress Code
EC Twos students must wear a chapel uniform for pictures.
EC toddlers and infants may wear Sunday best with the option to change after the session.

PTO General Meeting
The PTO is hosting the first general meeting of the year Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 8 a.m. in the Garden Sanctuary. Parents are invited to join Michelle Symonds, Head of School, under the trees as she shares a synopsis of the current state of the school and the exciting future efforts that support the strategic plan.

Garden and Nature
HSES is partnering with great professionals to cultivate our love for nature and gardening in this beautiful oasis. Ready to Grow Gardens will work with students in Primary 3 through 8th grade to enhance the green spaces around campus including the container and butterfly gardens. Trees for Houston will join students Tuesday, Oct. 5 to plant various types of trees along the scenic grounds.

Class Dues
Parent Ambassadors (a.k.a. room parents) are collecting class dues to fund special activities throughout the year such as teacher birthdays, classroom events and student activities. Suggested dues per student are $40 for PS-MS and $30 for EC but any amount is welcome to support the classroom. Contact Megan with the PTO if you have not received information from your Parent Ambassador.

Adult Virtual Session
The Parish School is offering a free virtual event for parents Thursday, Sept, 23 at 7 p.m. Dr. Ann-Louise Lockhart will present "Supporting Kids at Home: Tips from a Pediatric Psychologist" to share resources on how to understand and support your children through changes.

Math+ at Strake Jesuit
The math course taking place at Strake Jesuit has revised the dates for the six sessions. The program is open to students in 6th through 8th grade that focuses on probability and mathematical concepts for students to apply in real life.

Shop at AmazonSmile, select Holy Spirit Episcopal School as your charitable organization, and Amazon will donate proceeds from your purchase to the school. This is one of the many ways to participate in the annual giving to raise funds for the school.

Medical Inquiries
The school nurses are available during morning carpool and throughout the school day to answer any health-related questions. You can also contact them regarding medical records, immunizations or symptoms of illness. They are always willing to extend a helping hand and we are blessed to have them on our team!
