Description

The Temporary Warehouse Assistant performs skilled work as related to the daily operations of the Utilities warehouse.  Must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time.  Stocks shelves, receives deliveries, able to use forklift and other material transport equipment.  Assists Purchasing Manager with materials accounting, building maintenance, lawn maintenance, and other duties as assigned.  Must be able to communicate with different departments, shippers, vendors, manufacturers, and other material providers.  Must follow all health and safety procedure and regulations as dictated by the organization and the state.  Considered essential personnel and may be required to work extended periods during emergencies.  Reports to the Utilities Purchasing Manager.

Qualifications

Graduation from high school.  Warehouse, financial, and/or inventory experience a plus.  Will train entry level candidate with transferrable skill set.

  • Must possess a valid North Carolina Driver’s License.
  • Possession of a valid North Carolina Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred or must obtain within three (3) months of hire. 
  • Forklift Certification preferred or must certify within three (3) months of hire. 

Physical Requirements
Must be physically able to operate vehicles including material handling equipment.  Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force and/or up to 50 pounds of force more frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move materials and product repetitively.  Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb during the course of the shift.  Physical demand requirements are for Heavy Work.  Must be physically able to perform repetitive motions and lift overhead frequently.

Description

Under general supervision, performs skilled and semi-skilled work in the maintenance and repair of County buildings and facilities. Work involves major renovations of buildings consisting of framing walls, installing insulation, hanging doors, hanging ceilings, installing windows, and installing floor tiles. Work involves demolition work, carpentry work, HVAC work, plumbing, electrical, and painting. Conducts maintenance and repair of buildings and facilities to include all building trades work. Qualifications

Description

Under the general supervision of the Special Populations Coordinator, duties can include but are not limited to supervising Club Rec twice per week.  Club Rec provides individuals with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to socialize, learn new skills, and participate in a variety of therapeutic and recreational activities.  Assists in planning the activities for Club Rec, creating the monthly schedules, and sending it out to participants; stay connected with Special Populations Coordinator about Club Rec and supplies needed.  Assists with informing the community of Special Populations Programs offered and how volunteers can get involved with different events/activities through electronic communication and in-person events.  Also assists Coordinator with maintaining volunteer and participants information for each program.  Additional duties can include chaperone and oversee teams that participate in out-of-town events.  Performs other duties as required.  Applicant must be able to work odd hours during the week, at night and weekends; majority of work is in the evenings and on weekends.    This position reports to the Special Populations Coordinator.

**Position is part-time.**

Description

Under general supervision, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical controls.  Lays out and installs new electrical secondary service including panels, breakers, disconnects, and switches.  Provides detailed materials list, gets cost estimates, and orders materials required for projects.  Performs other duties that may include moving furniture, repairing or replacing door locks, and unclogging of sinks, toilets, and drains by use of hand or power equipment.  Work involves logging of HVAC equipment, troubleshooting and repairing some HVAC systems.  Reports to the Facility Manager.  Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required. Technical school diploma supplemented by at least five years of experience in general construction trade(s) and/or building maintenance; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.  Education and experience can substitute for one another.  Must possess a valid state driver’s license.

NC State Electrician's License required, or obtained within 24 months of employment.  

Physical Requirements
Tasks involve the regular and sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, and which involves the lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (up to 50 pounds) and occasionally heavy items (up to 100 pounds).

Description

Description

The Environmental Health Specialist may work in various environmental health regulatory programs within the department as needed. Primary focus dedicated to the inspection of food and lodging facilities, daycares, health care centers, tattoo parlors, and public swimming pools all under State rules and regulations review. Will be tasked to carry out various local and State regulations to protect Public Health when required.
