Learn more about the 4 gems of supporting survivors. At this training we will dive deeper into how we can support survivors using justice, affirmation, self determination, and self reflection gems. We will practice scenarios in the break out rooms, so please come prepared to participate.

Closing Digital Divides In Our Communities
With the internet being central to our daily lives, internet access is vital to safety, connection, and wellness. In partnership with other community orgs, API Chaya's Wifi is a Lifeline campaign is working to bring community owned and operated internet to marginalized communities. Right now, we're focused on providing technical and community organizing training to local youth, empowering youth to bring internet access to their communities. Please support this campaign to get internet access for all!

DISH: Discussing Intimacy, Sexuality, & Healing

What's the DISH? DISH is a space for Queer & Trans Black, Indigenous, & People of Color to come together over food, and have conversations about intimacy, sexuality, and healing. This month, the topic is vulnerability. There will be a few prompt questions sent out in advance based on your responses, and opportunities to come up with your own questions during DISH.

API Chaya's Queer Network Program is hosting monthly community healing gatherings for QT/BIPOC Parents, Grandparents, & Caregivers who are Survivors on the third Saturday of the month from August through December. API Chaya will provide food for all healing gatherings, via gift card, as requested.

QNP Pod: A QTBIPOC Support Group
Meets every other Monday, 5:30 - 7pm PST.
Register here. Sign ups happen quarterly. Limited spots available.
Historically, this has been an ongoing support group and visioning space for a small group of folks to heal and build together in a deeper, more consistent manner.

RISE! is a peer-facilitated collective centering BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) survivors of sexual assault and abuse.
Generally, RISE! meets 1-2 times a month to: Build community, Share food, Work on different projects (ex: zines, mixed media showcases, tarot card deck), share practices and props connected to survivorship, Offer and gather support around aspects of trauma as a survivor (ex: navigating family, triggers/flashbacks, etc., Center survivor leadership and brilliance. Free Maddeysn George - A Call for Support
Content warning for mention of gun violence, sexual assault, and murder.
Maddesyn George is a member of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville reservation. She acted in self defense against a man who raped her and threatened to kill her, and she is now being held in pre-trial detention on charges of 2nd degree murder. Maddesyn's family need support to care for her 13 month old daughter and to pay legal fees. We share the following requests for support from Maddesyn, her mother, and her community:

#FreeMaddesyn Letter Writing Gathering

Join us to write a message to Maddesyn so she knows we’re fighting for her to be free and home! Her sentencing hearing is October 20th and we want to make sure she is feeling our collective love and solidarity. Good music, vibes, and instructions for sending letters to the jail will be provided. Maddesyn's baby girl, Shynne, may make a guest appearance!
