UPCOMING OPPORTUNITIES

Join the Agricultural Advisory Committee!

Do you want an opportunity to help strategize on HDFFA's Agricultural Support programs? Consider joining the 2021-2022 Agricultural Advisory Committee (AAC)! The AAC meets four times during the off-season (Oct, Dec, Feb, and Apr) and helps set our priorities for the upcoming year. This is your opportunity to have your voice heard and to represent your fellow agricultural community members. We are seeking a diverse group of farmers and ranchers representing the tri-county region. Learn more about the AAC here and read the full mandate here. Applications due by 10/1.

Canceled: Farmer Networking Night on 9/30

Due to the increasing cases of Covid-19 in Central Oregon, we've made the difficult decision to cancel our fall Farmer Networking Night. We will make our best effort to reschedule this event at a time that feels safer for our partners and community members.

TIPS & TRICKS

Free Smoke Masks Available

With fire season in full swing, HDFFA is handing out free smoke masks (KN95s) to farmers and ranchers. These masks are generously provided by OSU Extension. Please email Annie if you would like to coordinate a pick-up.

Farewell, Clare!

We are sad to see OSU Small Farms Extension Agent, Clare Sullivan, leaving her position, but we want to wish her the best of luck on her new adventures! Clare will be working part-time over the next six-months and OSU plans to refill her position in early 2022. If you are in need of technical assistance in the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out and we will connect you with the correct person.

Thanks so much for your service, Clare!
