Dear Friend, This week social media (Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp) were offline for a time. While many were grateful for the respite, I must admit as a person who connects with people on these platforms for my livelihood it was a sincere reminder that I am grateful to be able to connect with you in your inbox. Thank you for being here.
I think of you often. What would be in service to you and your world, what is the best way to let you know how we can work together, and what usefulness can I offer even if we never connect personally? I am deeply aware we are in a relationship together. For me this relationship is built around the ideas of curiosity, invitation, reflection, and a deepening of connection to ourSELF, Spirit, and the world. Here is a space where we can show up in all of our humanity, exactly as I am and you are - messy, complex, non-linear beings. I hope you feel that when you read these missives.
Many moons ago, I made a shadow box with a bunch of mini-collages. Most of the collages were wishes that have come true (through patience, action, and a bit of luck), and one sits on my desk because it isn't an attainment but a constant reminder...ALWAYS CONNECTED cut out from a magazine clumsily pasted onto a heart with flowers and the sun surrounding it. The above collage is a cleaned up version of my hastily made prayer. ALWAYS CONNECTED - a hopeful prayer that I may always feel Spirit around me, that I may always feel connected to myself, and that I may have a system of support no matter what I may be going through. This prayer I have tried to embody and it's one I have tried to offer to everyone I meet.
ALWAYS CONNECTED in the ways before we had a world that was always connected. We won't TURN back time, technology is here, and it has been a beautiful resource to connect AND what are the ways you can connect that move outside of the newsfeed and square pictures? What connection do you hunger for, require, need, dream about? Let's dream it together.
