Hello, FDT Family & Friends!

The 2021-2022 season is in full swing. Our company returned on August 30th, and rehearsals have taken off for the largest performance of the year, The Nutcracker.

With this event quickly approaching, we are excitedly putting together all the elements for a tremendous holiday season. Our goal is to make this year’s Nutcracker event the best one yet. We have all gone through, and many are still going through, one of the most trying times in our generation. Why not use the arts to inspire hope and refresh our communities? To do this, we need your help in securing event sponsors.

We are asking each family to connect with family, friends, local businesses or organizations to help us secure minimum donations of $250 on or before November 30th. Each sponsor will receive recognition in the program, on our website, upcoming newsletters and our social media channels. Florida Dance Theatre is a 501(c)(3) and all charitable donations are tax deductible.

FDT turns 28 years old this month! We feel so amazing to have shared our love and passion for nearly three decades! Be on the lookout for Fantastic Flashbacks, a virtual opportunity to see memorable works performed by current and former FDT company members! Help Us Celebrate 28 Years!

Academy News

We have welcomed 12 new students into the academy. This is really exciting! We are grateful for where we are and working to where we would like to be. To celebrate our birthday this month, all drop in classes are $10 for new students. Invite your friends to join us for a class.

For our current students, whoever refers the most students for the year, the referring student will receive two free private lessons.

Our fundraising window begins on October 08, 2021, at 8:00 PM and goes until October 12, 2021, at 8:00 PM.

Each of us will create a Pop-Up Store and sell Double Good gourmet popcorn. Prices range from $18-$59. The popcorn is award-winning and really delicious! We would love for you to join in the popcorn mad dash. The top seller will receive four tickets to The Nutcracker 2021!

Our academy students will participate in a popcorn fundraiser this October. Through Double Good Virtual fundraising, efforts are 100% contactless, we keep 50% of the profit and the product ships directly to the buyer.
