Submit Your Advanced Grid Project Information to Support Federal Policy Discussions

Grid Forward Community,

As you know, we have engaged federal policy makers to ensure legislation has critical funds for advanced grid capabilities. Congress looks to be entering the final stretch in getting these packages across the finish line for approval. It would help our champions (like Sen. Cantwell or Sen. Wyden) and key leadership offices (like Sen. Manchin and Speaker Pelosi) to have better information about the impact that grid modernization investments can have in communities. That's where you can come in with some useful information.

By the end of this week (Oct 8th) please submit to us the impact that your advanced grid projects have had. It would be best to have the information covering as much of your advanced grid efforts as possible but singular projects are good to include as well. We will aggregate the submitted information to share with congressional offices. To be clear, offices like Sen. Cantwell are asking for this information now and we have regularly been in touch with offices like Senate Energy & Natural Resources Committee Chair Sen. Manchin and House Energy & Commerce Chair Rep. Pallone and would be sharing it with them as well. If your examples seem good for standing out individually, we will check and confirm with you to get approval for such use.

We anticipate progress on the bipartisan infrastructure package and the reconciliation spending package later this month. That means we’d need to have your information over the coming days so we can get it into a useful format and socialize it to important congressional offices.

If you have data from grid modernization efforts already in completed documents that you would like to share with us directly, email them to Bryce.

Submit Your Project Information
When you are ready to submit your information make sure you have:
1. Contact person at your organization
2. Basic summary information of the project(s)

Thanks for your support for our work in this space and your help in offering feedback to our elected officials.
