September's theme: CULTIVATING RELATIONSHIP

Everybody can be great. Because anybody can serve.”
~Martin Luther King, Jr.

We really need five more adults or teens to make the team we've promised for Wed. afternoon.  More kids too, but really--anyone welcome!

Bring a friend!

October 5, 2021

Dear families and friends of Lifespan Spiritual Exploration:

I'm hoping a few of you just need this urgent call for volunteers as the excuse you were waiting for to go on a pretty foliage drive tomorrow, and a gorgeous way to spend some time outdoors on a beautiful fall day. And you'll be helping live out our UCM mission of serving human need. We'll be harvesting beautiful produce to help fill over a dozen food shelves locally! Our team is currently only half the size of what we've promised Community Harvest.

Hope a few of you might be able to swing it!  I'll be there and would LOVE to see you!  If having a ride is helpful, let me know.  I think one or two carpool spaces available.

Important details in the
RSVP link, including directions (DO NOT just ask your phone to guide you to Bear Roots Farm, this is a different address!).

Thank you for considering it (I do know that many of you would love to make it happen, but the timing doesn't work.  Unfortunately, Community Harvest only does weekday harvests.)

Parents/caregivers: please take a few to complete this for any child or youth ages 0-18 who even might participate in a church event this year. This is critical to us keeping you informed as opportunities arise. For example, we do hope we can find volunteers and figure out a way to offer some form of Our Whole Lives sexuality education this year to 7th-8th graders and 5th-6th graders.  Or a modified Coming of Age program for 9th-10th graders, or an outdoor story time for toddlers!  This is how we will keep you in the loop for age-specific programs.  It also helps us know about any food allergies, photo permissions, etc.
