iDriveWA Towards Zero Emissions
Conference and Expo 2021

Registrations are open for WA's first Zero Emission Fleet Transition
Conference & Exhibition on Thursday, 4 November.
WALGA has partnered with Preferred Supplier Gemtek to provide a Local Government seminar stream at the iDriveWA Towards Zero Emissions Conference and Expo 2021.  Please join us to discuss Local Government's role in leading Western Australia's transition to electric vehicles.

The Local Government seminar session will be held from 10 am to 12 pm.  Presenters include the Local Governments of Albany, Cockburn and Subiaco, WALGA, Gemtek and the Electric Vehicle Council.  Case studies will focus on:
  • Insights into transitioning corporate vehicle fleets to hybrid, electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, including light vehicles and waste collection trucks.
  • Site selection considerations for the provision of public charging infrastructure.
  • Suitability of charge levels (AC or fast DC chargers) and plug connectors.
  • Charge station management systems and use of collected data.
  • The Electric Vehicle Council's 'Charge Together Fleets Program' to help Local Governments plan their fleet transition.
  • WALGA's Sustainable Energy Project and Power Purchase Agreement.
The morning Conference session will discuss the National EV status and WA's unique challenges.  The afternoon Conference session will focus on the WA Electric Vehicle Strategy and Action Plan, Distributed Energy Resources and the decentralised power systems of the future.
