Every second month we will be sharing news, project updates and what's inspiring us. In this fourth edition we touch on our latest projects, share a favourite recipe and a product we are currently loving. We hope you enjoy!

A sneak peak of something BIG that is coming in 2022

This concept for a mixed-use development includes two levels of wellness and allied health spaces and three levels of residential living above.

BRIGHTON 

Brighton is a beautiful coastal, bayside suburb of Melbourne with some of the most desirable real estate Melbourne has to offer. Brighton is and has been known for its cosmopolitan lifestyle, beach boxes, our glistening Port Phillip Bay, shopping strips, cafés and restaurants, Yacht Club and the Golden Mile.
 

At Luke Fry Architecture and Interior Design we have a number of projects commencing in Brighton and surrounds over the coming months and couldn’t be happier. Bringing beautiful homes to life in such welcoming surrounds is just one of the parts of our job that we love!

Luke Fry Architecture and Interior Design is an award winning boutique practice that is a developing a strong reputation and portfolio of work. 

High-end residential projects are the core of what we do with some new multi-residential developments with reputable development brands. We also have some very exciting commercial and retail opportunities on the horizon. 

We are a growing team of 5 that aims to promote a culture of health and work/life balance, a genuine enjoyment of collaboration with a loyal core team. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Take projects from concept through to completion inclusive of Town Planning and Contract Admin

  • Collaborate with the Director and other team members

  • Client and project management

  • Perform Revit and SketchUp modelling

  • Ensure the highest quality project outcomes 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Completed degree in Architecture

  • Registration preferred but not essential 

  • Min. 3+ years Melbourne experience

  • High end and single and multi residential experience 

  • Experience with local planning regulations highly regarded 

  • High level Revit & SketchUp proficiency 

  • Proven ability to design in response to clients brief 

  • Strong eye for design and detail 

  • Great communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Ability to take initiative and adapt quickly

Currently Loving - Made by the Light 

This month we are loving Made by the Light,  a collection of LED lit Perspex candle holders and other objects. Lighting for modern and contemporary living. Inspired by festivities and seasons. Born and bred in Melbourne. Each piece is meticulously brought to life to achieve just the right balance. Never intended as a mass market product, more for the keen collector of interesting pieces.

Aperol Spritz... the perfect Summer cocktail!

Ingredients

  • 60mL Aperol Aperitivo

  • 60mL prosecco

  • 30mL soda water

  • Orange wedge, to garnish

  • Ice

Method

  1. Fill a wine glass with ice

  2. Add all ingredients to wine glass

  3. Stir with long spoon and garnish with orange wedge

And drink! 

 

About the Aperol Spritz cocktail

 

There's no doubt about it,  the Aperol Spritz is the darling of the cocktail world. Made using Aperol, prosecco and a splash of soda water, the spritz is a summer-ready refreshment that has taken the word by storm in recent years thanks to both its taste and aesthetic qualities.
