Education Abroad Fair

Tuesday, October 5; 10 AM - 2 PM; Exhibition Hall Midtown Rooms
Undergraduate students are encouraged to come to the 26th annual Education Abroad Fair on October 5th, 2021 in the Exhibition Hall from 10AM-2PM! Join us to learn more about nearly 130 international education possibilities offered at Tech. This event is a great way to speak with our entire team of advisors for Faculty-Led Programs, Exchange Programs, Global Internship & Research Programs, Scholarships, and more. You’re bound to discover the experience that is right for you!


Employer Panel: The Value of Intercultural Skills & International Experience

Monday, October 18; 6:00-7:30 PM; Bill Moore Student Success Center
Join us for an employer panel discussion the relevance of international experience and intercultural skills the modern day workplace! A networking session will follow after the panel. Confirmed employers include: NCR, Siemens, Sandia National Laboratories, and Ignite Insights Consulting.

Graduating this Semester?

If you are graduating this semester and want to have the International Plan designation on your diploma, be sure to submit a degree designation form immediately! 

If you are planning to graduate in the summer, please let the IP Manager know by emailing internationalplan@oie.gatech.edu.

IP Capstone

If you are currently enrolled in your IP capstone this semester and have not received an e-mail from the IP Manager about the Capstone Workshop, please e-mail internationalplan@oie.gatech.edu ASAP so you can get the information you need to successfully complete your capstone requirement.

IP Check Ins
Not sure what you may or may not do for your IP experiences or courses? Having trouble narrowing the options? Just want to be sure you're on the right track? Meet with Ilana! Drop in advising at the Clough Help Desk, right next to Kaldi's Coffee is every Thursday in Oct. from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m., or you can make an advising appointment HERE.

New Internship Program for 1st & 2nd Years

Attention 1st and 2nd Year Students! Are you interested in gaining valuable work experience while spending 10 weeks abroad during Summer 2022? If so, then plan to attend one of the upcoming information sessions and learn all about the Global Research and Internship Program (GRIP) Summer Internship Cohort! This program is perfect for 1st and 2nd year students that are wanting to gain hands-on work experience while spending a summer abroad. Full program information can be accessed here.

OIE Administered Study Abroad Scholarship Deadline

The OIE Administered Scholarship Application is open and accepting applications! The next application deadline is October 15, 2021. Students should apply online as early as possible and are not required to have selected a program at the time of application. 

You MUST submit an OIE scholarship application by the listed deadline to be considered for the IP Scholarship. The IP Scholarship is for IP students going on their SECOND international experience.

How to Afford Study Abroad

Thursday, October 14; 3:30-4:30 PM; Exhibition Hall- Buckhead
This session will discuss the impact of program choice on overall study abroad costs, discuss study abroad scholarships like the OIE Administered Scholarshipscampus study abroad scholarships, national scholarship and fellowship opportunities, and we'll also discuss other tips for funding international experiences.

Budgeting for International Experiences: Part Two

Friday, October 15; 4-5 PM; Savant Building #308
In this second meeting of this workshop series, we'll be covering more in-depth how to prepare for an upcoming international experience, budgeting for your time in-country, and researching how to manage your money while there. Please feel free to bring a laptop and questions on how to get started.
