Join us this morning! Come for in-person worship at 10:00 am in the sanctuary or watch our livestream from home (live.ashlandfpc.org). Our worship services are also archived online.

Pastor Christopher Stewart will preach a sermon based on Genesis 2:18–24Psalm 8, and Hebrews 1:1–4; 2:5–12. Communion will also be celebrated.

Children ages Pre-K through Grade 6 are invited to attend Sunday School this morning. Children will be dismissed during the offering and led to the Sunday School room.

CROP Hunger Walk
Sunday, October 3

 
This nationwide interfaith event addresses hunger both locally and globally, raising more than $6 million annually in more than 500 communities throughout the US.

To join this effort impacting families and individuals in more than 35 countries, contributions may be added to the container in the narthex. Please write your name on the contribution envelopes but not the dollar amount. Checks can be written to CROP, rather than to FPC.

HCM Seminar
 
Healing Care Ministries will host a Spiritual Direction seminar at FPC starting Sunday night, October 3. The seminar will conclude October 6. The following spaces will be used:
 
- 1st Floor Education Rooms
- Fellowship Hall
- Kitchen
- Chapel
- Lounge

October Newsletter Notice

Due to time constraints and a need to prioritize volunteers for other projects, the October newsletter will not be mailed to households this month. The church office will send a digital version of the newsletter next week. Copies will also be distributed throughout the church building. Thanks for understanding!

Come be part of the fun in this joint outreach effort of neighborhood churches, and encourage children you know to enjoy the fun!

FPC is recruiting volunteers to participate in these areas:
 
- Making chili for the chili cook-off
- Making individually-wrapped treats
- Overseeing pumpkin painting
- Overseeing costume photo booth
- Trunk-or-treat in the parking lot
 
This event will allow us to collaborate with neighborhood churches and connect with those who live in the area. Contact Lana Potter before October 10 to sign up to participate: 419-606-7413.
Congregational Meeting
Sunday, October 17

 
Session has called for a special meeting of the congregation after worship on Sunday, October 17.

The purpose of the meeting is to hear and act upon the final report of the Pastor Nominating Committee and to vote on their nominee as pastor of First Presbyterian Church.

The church office sent a mailing to all active members with information about the candidate. Materials are also available in the narthex.

Members are encouraged to attend in person. There will be a Zoom option for those who cannot attend in person. To request the Zoom invite, please contact the church office: office@ashlandfpc.org or 419-289-6205.

Non-perishable food items: Saltines, vegetable and chicken noodle soups, cream of mushroom and chicken soups, mac and cheese, baked beans, 64-oz. bottles of juice

Non-food items: Bar soap, paper towels, men's and women's deodorant, razors
