Principal's Message

Dear O.H. Anderson Students and Families,

We had a great Zephyr Homecoming last week with the high school students visiting us at recess, dressing up to show our Zephyr Pride, the homecoming parade, and the football game.  Check out the joy on our OHA students' faces.

I want to thank all of you in our partnership to help our students learn, develop passions, and continue to grow as kind people.  Our teachers and staff have put together Virtual Curriculum Materials which will be available for you to learn about what your child will learn this year, expectations in the grade level, and how you can support them at home.  There are great videos to check out during convenient times in your busy schedules.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher.  This will be available on our website under quick links or under the academics tab for the school year.

Check out the OHA Family Guide to learn the focus for each grade level and how you can support them at home.

Take care of yourself, your family, and each other.

Our number one goal is to stay healthy at OHA.  We need your help in keeping your child at home when sick.  We want you to err on the safe side.  Also, please make sure your child has a mask that fits and is clean each day.

Here are the mitigation strategies we rely on at OHA:

  • Social distancing
  • Staying in cohorts
  • Frequent hand washing
  • Frequent sanitizing

PTO Information

Each fall, the Mahtomedi Elementary PTO hosts the Fun Run at both Wildwood and O.H. Anderson as our biggest fundraiser of the year! It's a fun opportunity for every class to get outside, get active together, and help raise money for their schools.

What does the Fun Run Look like?
Each homeroom class at both WW and OHA will get outside for 20-minutes at an assigned time during the school day, and work their way through an engaging and fun obstacle course run. Obstacles and fitness pit stops along the way include dancing, sack races, football toss, and more. Students work at their own pace and adapt each stop to their needs. It's fun for everyone!

When is the Fun Run?
Oct. 15 at OH Anderson - Fundraising information and collection envelopes went home with students Monday, September 27th.

Interested in volunteering?
We are pleased to announce that we get to have parent volunteers attend since our event is outside! Please follow Mahtomedi PTO's Facebook page for more information. Click this link to sign up to Volunteer. FUN RUN-Volunteers
