According to VA.gov, approximately 38% of homeless people use alcohol, and 26% use other drugs. Safe and affordable housing is one way to help more people find recovery. Check out the below programs from the Wisconsin Foundation for Rural Housing!
 

The Critical Assistance Program is a homelessness prevention program that can offer one-time financial assistance in the following areas: Delinquent rent, security Deposit, utility disconnection for renters, delinquent property taxes, and past due mortgages.

This one-time financial assistance is met to prevent homelessness.   This program does not provide services in Dane, Milwaukee or Racine Counties. 
 

Reimbursement of Supplement Educational Expenses

This is a program designed to prevent, prepare and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. Qualified applicants are able to receive reimbursement of up to $300. 00 for supplemental educational expenses. You must provide us with valid receipts of the expenses.
