We are very excited to announce the next upcoming "Frist Friday at Flo's" event on Friday 5 November from 4:00pm-7:00pm. Join us for an amazing Pumpkin and Pizza themed event as part of the Oxfordshire Pumpkin Festival! All the details can be found in the below flyer.

Why not join our team? We are looking to hire two nursery practitioners and a kitchen assistant. Or, why not become a "Friend of Flo's" and volunteer a few hours a week to welcome newcomers to Flo's. We are also recruiting for a Treasurer to join the Board of Trustees. Scroll down for further details.

All through October, we have trialled new dishes and between Monday 25 October and Sunday 31 October we ran a pumpkin-inspired café menu. Have you visited us recently?

Opportunities to get involved with Flo's

  • Kitchen Assistant, Are you passionate about healthy food and sustainable cooking? Do you want to work in a friendly environment with sociable hours? Would you like to take part in creating healthy and interesting menus?
    Hours:  30 hours per week, 51 weeks per year. Pay:  £10.00 per hour

  • Permanent Nursery Practitioner and Fixed Term Nursery Practitioner, The Nature Nursery at Flo’s is a nursery setting for children aged 2-4 years based in Florence Park, East Oxford. The nursery is a home from home, where children feel calm and settled and spend their day in harmony with other children and their natural surroundings. Our focus is on outdoor learning and play. Working here would suit someone who enjoys being outdoors in all weathers and is interested in how children can learn, play and connect with nature. 

    The nursery is part of a vibrant community hub, Flo’s the Place in the Park. We provide a place for the community to come together to connect, share, learn, play, eat and shop. We house a fresh and healthy café, a plastic free refill ship, the NHS midwives and lots of community activities and programmes.
    Hours: 38hrs per week. Qualifications: Ideally level 2 or above in Early Years

  • Treasurer, Board of Trustees, We are now looking for a treasurer to join our board of Trustees. This is an exciting roles, supporting an experienced Board to oversee the strategy and finances of our dynamic and growing organisation. This role would suit someone with financial management experience,  interested in learning about community enterprise and how local trading can make a real difference to a locality and it’s residents’ lives.

Just a little note: The café is open on Saturdays to Thursdays from 9:30am - 4:30pm and Fridays 9:30am - 7:00pm.

The Refill Shop is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays from 11:00am - 5:00pm. On Fridays it is open 11:00am until 7:00pm.
