Pastor Appreciation Month
October is Pastor Appreciation Month. We have been blessed with pastors who are committed to teaching and preaching the truths of God’s Word. We encourage each of you to find a special way to let the pastors know how much you appreciate their faithful service. Thank you in advance for letting our pastors know how much you appreciate them and remember to thank their families for their faithful support, service and sacrifice.

Tuesday Night Prayer

Tuesday Night Prayer is a time for those in our church and community to come together for a time of focused prayer for a variety topics and needs. We hope you'll join us this Tuesday!
Prayer Request Update
Pastor Brant and Susanne would like to thank everyone for praying for Susanne's mother, Jeanne Ackles. The procedure was successful and showed no signs of cancer. Biopsy samples were collected and will give a more complete picture. Jeanne was able to return to Ridgewood yesterday afternoon (Thursday).
New Orleans Roofing Project
The Adult Mission Trip to New Orleans, LA (NOLA) has been scheduled for October 15-19, 2021. Nine (9) people will be participating in the Adult Mission Trip (Pastor Curt, Jason Rasmussen, Tyler Hackbart, Ben Fitzwater, and 5 Concordia students). The primary project for this Mission Trip will be roofing the Quad for Urban Impact. If time allows, other projects will be addressed as needed for Urban Impact. The Elders have approved a Special Project Fund to help cover the Mission Trip expenses. We anticipate the total cost of the trip will be about $3,500. We will use the Special Project Funds first to cover airfare (~$3,100) plus incidental expenses like food for the attendees. The Special Project Funds will be used first, and if needed, the Short-term Mission Trip Funds from the Missions budget will be used to cover the remaining expenses. If Special Project Funds are received in excess of the $3,500, we will not use any Short-term Mission Trip Funds from the Mission budget and the remainder will be donated to Urban Impact to use for hurricane relief. Urban Impact will purchase all necessary supplies for the Quad roof and we have not agreed to cover any additional expenses. Plans may change as we move forward.

Please pray for the Mission Trip participants as they work to be the hands and feet of Jesus to Central City NOLA. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Rob Mitchell, Church Chairman

Donations
If you feel led to give towards this project, checks may be made payable to Hillcrest E-Free Church with New Orleans Relief Project on the memo line or giving envelope and placed in the drop box attached to the Welcome Center Desk.
