"We have to recognize and navigate the darkness before we can see the light". - Shayla Stonechild, Founder of Matriarch Movement - a non-profit focused on amplifying Indigenous womens' voices and providing wellness workshops including meditation, movement and medicine.
At this time of truth, healing, and reconciliation, we have been called to revisit all that we stand for and represent as a not-for-profit organization. This year, September 30 is recognized nationally as Truth and Reconciliation Day that has evolved from Orange Shirt Day.
Krasman Centre is committed to sharing the truth and working towards healing and reconciliation with Indigenous communities. We welcome you to take this time to engage in activities that further our understanding of Indigenous Communities, Cultures, Histories and/or Teachings. As part of our agency focus, we hope to use our collective voices to strengthen and help heal Indigenous communities.
