On Wednesday we spoke with Conner, who you may recognize from Instagram as Find Me in Seattle. Conner’s a loyal Evergrey reader — he’s even made a TikTok using one of our newsletters — and pretty knowledgeable about the city. We asked him some questions to get to know him better.
Tell us briefly about what you do and how you got your start.
I am a storyteller and content creator based in Seattle, WA. I have explored thousands of Seattle-based businesses over the past decade and I share information about restaurants, stores, artists, and events happening in our city. Professionally, I am an independent marketing consultant, and I help businesses with their online media.
What's your favorite part about your job?
Meeting new people and business owners across the city and learning about how they started their businesses.
What's your favorite hidden gem in Seattle?
Pioneer Square Waterfall, Malena's Tacos, Washington Park Arboretum
Where are two places you'd take an out-of-town guest?
Bainbridge Ferry, Pasta Casalinga (Pike Place Market)
If you were to give a piece of advice to a newcomer to Seattle, what would it be?
Find ways to stay warm and active during the winter short days. Weather-appropriate clothing, sunrise lamp, and hot yoga.
