I cannot overstate how proud I am of being the Social Media Manager for the New York Latino Film Festival (NYLFF). With the greatest city on earth on full recovery and reopening mode two weeks ago, NYLFF led the charge for Latinos with the 2021 New York Latino Film Festival. NYLFF ended the festival with Moving Pa’Lante, which was a next-level bespoke experience, done in partnership with HBO Max Palante, that celebrated our musica, our cultura and our community. On Saturday, September 18 they brought J Quiles, Buscabulla, Flaco Navaja, and Venus X to The Bronx for a night to remember. If you know, you know…

Last year NYLFF partnered with HBO and Entre Nos to lead an exhaustive nationwide search for the best Latino comedians. The search culminated in a battle for the top spot at the InCrowd Studios in Los Angeles. Two comedians, Abi Sanchez and Cisco Duran, emerged victorious. Today, at 10 pm est, you can catch their Entre Nos special, The Winners 2 on HBO Latino and on HBO Max. Don’t play yourself and check it out! It is your Hispanic Heritage Month duty to watch.

Man I am knee deep in the latest book by my fave author Colson Whitehead, Harlem Shuffle. It is a heist novel set in Harlem in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s. It is straight fire. Hit up Word Up Books pronto and get your copy like I did.
