FEATURING

Tigress Rama Chandrasekhar
will be joining us from India -- Yoga therapist and Indian Philosophy and Ayurveda scholar -- She is based in Chennai, India and will initiate the gathering withVedic chanting.

Tigress xtine burrough
is a hybrid artist who uses remix as a strategy for engaging networked audiences in critical participation. burrough combines remix practices of appropriation and juxtaposition with computation. She plays at the intersection of media art and digital poetry; and writes about her work to archive her practice.

Tigress Lili Anamarija No joins us from Ljubljana, Slovenia. Visual conceptual artist. A citizen of NSK State, a state in time, not place, and a proud holder of the NSK State passport. Enjoys exploring other, unfamiliar cultures with respect.

Tigress Rewa Wright joins us from Australia. Originally from Aotearoa/New Zealand, she is Māori from Ngāti Whātua and Ngāpuhi iwi. She uses embodied movements to perform with plants, software, and sensors, in a perceptually challenging infra-red mixed reality.

As we move across the Chinese Zodiac invoking your inner animals, we celebrate the TIGER this month. The tiger in crisis has been present in the collective consciousness during the pandemic as the first example of an animal catching the virus from a human (animal) while many binge watched the sickening saga of the Tiger King. The pandemic continues, more animals are getting sick and the Tiger King season 2 is about to launch. Poachers are still hunting for this magical powerful animal as demand remains for the tiger's body parts, used as a status symbol, as well as in traditional medicine because of their supposed medical properties.

EAT or be EATEN --
TIGERS -- offer yourself as the animal or what is recommended for you.

Bring a story, share a meal or revere your feline pet.

IF NOT NOW, WHEN?

Hox Zodiac will be featured at the annual Montclair Design Week in New Jersey on Sunday, October 10th, 5pm.

If you’re in the area, stop by to check out our dinner table installation from October 1-10th. We’ll also be hosting a live dinner for creatives, entrepreneurs & optimists at the finale of the program!

“Design without kindness leads to exclusion” - Petia Morozov, Founder & Executive Director of Montclair Design Week

While we consume, co-habit, collaborate, and even
create animals around us - we as humans forget that
we ourselves are animals. Animals serve as our
foods, offer companionship, are sacrificed for
science and are entwined in our myths and stories -
yet always take a back seat as we move forward.
