Will you meet Jesus empty handed?

“A man that hath friends must show himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.”
Proverbs 18:24
This month started off with news that knocked us off our feet. We received news that our best friend, brother, mentor, and fellow teacher, Aaron Issler, went home to be with the Lord.  We watched as many people posted on social media about how he had influenced their lives.  This was encouraging to see but we hastily thought, “Lord what is happening here? Are we still on the right path for what you want us to do or should we stay and help Doris and our church do ministry here in FL?”  Through much prayer we are certain that God wants us to stay our current course.  We can rejoice in this, that Aaron is in his eternal place next to Jesus.  Aaron sung a song, that you can find on the music streaming service Spotify, that a friend of his wrote called “I don’t want to meet Jesus Empty Handed.”  He didn’t meet Jesus empty handed as he led many people to the Lord.  Aaron loved his Savior and wanted everyone to know him.  As he was led, Aaron would hand out a tract, talk to someone about Jesus, and even mentor someone. Aaron was willing to sacrifice his time to ensure that people were taught to be strong in their faith and know what they believe and why they believed it.  Will you meet Jesus empty handed?  Aaron’s Celebration of life was held on September 25th.  The celebration of his life was an incredible witness to the impact that Aaron had on many people.  You can view it here if you would like to see it.  Keith was asked to speak about Aaron Issler as a mentor.  Keith talked about a few things that Aaron taught him and some of the fun-loving ways Aaron would express himself.
Praises and Prayer Requests

We are praising God for providing the necessary funds for us to go to language school and then make our move on to the field in Puerto Peñasco!!  Tickets have been bought for us to fly into Puerto Escondido (airport) and then be picked up and driven to the language school in Roca Blanca, Oaxaca, Mexico.  We will be flying out on October 21st at 6:30 AM from Tampa International Airport.  Please pray that nothing detours these plans.

Pray for Jenny as she likes to know all the details and plans.  Since there are a few uncertainties, Jenny will experience anxiety.  Please pray that she remains calm and looks to the Lord for strength during the period of adjustments.  Pray for Jenny to be able to learn and retain the knowledge of a new language.  Keith had taken Spanish in middle and high school.  He has a pretty good grasp but he will see there is still much to learn.  Please keep Keith in prayer as he will need to be alert and attentive to Jenny’s needs during this time.

We have to prepare for traveling to another country. We are making the necessary appointments to check on our health as we will be in another county at language school for 8 months.

Pray for Jenny as she has some challenges with swelling in her leg and pain in her lower back tailbone area.  She had an MRI and Ultra sound done on Sept 20th and they found a bulging disk in her lower back.  They also found an 3cm cyst in her right ovary.  They are not terribly concerned with the cyst and the doctor said to just keep an eye on it.  They are still baffled about the swelling in her legs as the ultra sound showed no blockages or abnormalities in her veins.

We are praising God for the opportunity that Rosemont Baptist Church, in Montrose, CO, gave to us to present the ministry to their mission’s team.   We are awaiting their final decision about partnering with our ministry   Please be in prayer that they will invest in this ministry in the near future.

Thank you for your financial investment and your prayers that hold us up before the Lord Jesus.
