Enjoy the Fall season with all of your Senses
The fall season just evokes a warm, cozy feeling. Whether you most look forward to your favorite pumpkin spice or apple cider food or beverage, or you spend endless hours watching or attending football games or you just like pulling out your cooler weather wardrobe, we hope you'll find a way to make the most of this season.
We thank everyone who contributed socks toward our Socktember campaign. We didn't quite fill our big collection box, but we're proud of what we were able to gather, nonetheless. We know many in our community will be grateful for warm, dry socks in the months ahead.
We started the month of October by welcoming a new member to our team. Mikhaella joined us as our new graphic design intern. We also said goodbye, for a second time, to one of our team members, Mark. Mark worked for us several years ago, then moved away. He returned to Washington last year and has worked for us since January. He's now moving out of state again. Staffing remains a concern for us as we prepare for the holiday and busy end-of-year season. We continue to look for new team members to join us, particularly in our production area.
An interesting and exciting project we're pleased to contribute toward is the University Place Veterans Memorial. For several weeks, we've been sandblasting paver bricks that will be part of this public memorial. Watch for news about the dedication around Veterans Day next month.
We also recently partnered with the Salvation Army of Tacoma and are hosting a virtual red kettle for the next few months. COVID severely hampered the opportunities for the Salvation Army to deploy their red kettles and bell ringers as they've done for so many years. We hope you'll consider joining us in our effort to raise some money toward their good work in our community, particularly around food and shelter for those who need it most.
We received some early cuts of a few of the videos we've been working to get produced over the past several months. You can find all of the videos on our YouTube channel.
Inventory shortages, coupled with production and shipping delays continue to hamper the promotional products industry. Our advice remains the same as we've been urging the last few months - order early! Our trophy suppliers seem to be faring better, however, they too can't re-stock some popular and common items. The good thing with awards is that there's likely another option available from another of our suppliers that may work when your original selection is not available. We recently had a customer from out of state place an order for a gorgeous deep-etched glass piece. This particular item came from a supplier we don't use regularly. However, that supplier was able to engrave and ship the item directly to our customer within just two days. It's rare for us not to do our own engraving but in this instance, it made more sense for our supplier partner to engrave it. And, our customer received the item exactly when she needed it. She told us by email, "I want to thank you for getting that to me so quickly. The recipient was so touched by the award, and was really amazed by the quality."
We've spent some time cleaning up some data in our e-commerce site over the last several weeks and while completing that work, we came across some pretty incredible items. The term GOAT (Greatest of All Time) gets thrown around a lot these days, in all kinds of sports and other ventures. What better way to acknowledge incredible accomplishments of a teammate, co-worker or colleague than to present them with a Goat Trophy.
It's time to think about holiday gifts for employees, co-workers, family and friends. These multi-function clocks with LED screens are available on our e-commerce site. These clocks feature day and date calendar, musical alarm, digital thermometer, and world time capabilities. There's a lifetime guarantee on movement. The clocks come with laser engravable aluminum plates and are individually boxed. Even the batteries are included.
