What’s Next?

It’s good to ask “WHAT IF”, but it’s better to ask, What’s Next?

I heard this great tagline while watching the new NBC show called, “Ordinary Joe”. Two of my CQ newsletter readers (David Cohen and Donna McClanhan) messaged me to watch it because of my latest single, “WHAT IF” and the parallel to the show illustrating the “what ifs” in life. “Ordinary Joe” is about choices one makes – and sometimes, what one does in a single moment can change everything. Joe Kimbreau faces one of these decisions at his college graduation, leading to three parallel stories that diverge from that night. Each path finds Joes with a different career – as a nurse, a police officer or a rock star – along with different friendships, relationships and family lives, showing the unexpected ways things change – and stay the same. But when it comes down to it, there is no “right” choice; no matter what happens, Joe’s life is always messy, exciting, tough, and unpredictable – and beautiful. There are only 2 episodes out, with the 3^rd out tonight. They ended the last episode with, “It’s good to ask ‘WHAT IF’, but it’s better to ask, What’s Next?” When I heard that I thought, YES!!! What’s next? “I Will, I Swear, I Do” is what’s next! ☺

THIS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 8^TH I will be releasing “I Will, I Swear, I Do”!

About the song: This song is a reflection of love, like no other. The lyrics depict the truest form of love, where materialism doesn’t matter. One of my favorite lyrics is “You can wrap my finger with a diamond ring, or tie the knot with a piece of string…” I think it really captures the simplicity and purity of the message. I used this line as inspiration for my single cover. I tied a knot onto my ring finger with red string to depict the literal representation of that line. It’s then strung up to create my name as it cradles the song title. I hope that when people listen, they can resonate with the idea that true love isn’t all flashy and shiny, it’s really the simple things that build the greatest love story!

About the vibe: “I Will, I Swear, I Do” is a BOP! It’s an anthem of love as themes of “together forever” bounce energetically throughout this uplifting jam. My producer and co-writer of the song, Ben Simonetti, really captured the catchy hook, giving it a big sound, build, and high energy feel. It’s a song you want to crank up, sing, and dance to. I even put a teaser of this song in my previous music video, “WHAT IF”…. Go check out the elevator scene! ;) Also, I just saw the video now has 10,000 views! THAT IS AMAZING! Thank you to everyone who keeps watching it!
