Perspective - We Can Do More Together
The mission of the Alliance is to “elevate and expand capacity for social service focused mentoring in Greater Cincinnati.” So, what does that mean? Capacity includes elements of capability, effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability. It means deeper and more impactful programming to change the lives of the people we serve, more organizations that incorporate mentoring and purpose as programming elements and more mentor-mentee relationships. Each organization decides how to take advantage of our network and toolbox.
We can do more together. Each of us, individual and organizationally, has something to offer and something to learn. I envision our Alliance Members freely sharing their time and talents, their best practices and insights with each other. I’d like you to consider what you might share. We have various forums to do so including Facebook, Insight 30 and our upcoming Summit.
The Greater Cincinnati Mentor Leadership Alliance is a collaboration of volunteers and service professionals in the Cincinnati/NKY area working to improve the capability of people in need. This newsletter aims to present information, ideas and tools to grow personally and to better serve others. Our target audience includes Alliance Members and Friends, mentor program leaders and new or experienced volunteer mentors and life skills instructors. We hope to touch you with knowledge and skills to allow you to “live, work and serve to your purpose, passion and potential”. Please share this with someone who might consider life skills or mentoring as a volunteer role.

250 Words
My blogs are about life, life skills, service and living to our purpose, passion and potential. I aim to write about 250 Words(the amount an average adult can read in one minute). Here is one of my favorites…
Spirituality. I believe we should take care of ourselves and others “heart, mind, body and soul”. We don’t talk much about soul in our culture, so it requires an understanding. I have come to see soul as who I am in God…my inner self, stripped of ego and image. It is a core “essence” that has existed since I was born and tightly linked to my Purpose. Soul requires spiritual nourishment. Click here to read the rest.
The Life Solutions Network encourages “purpose, passion and potential” in the form of capability-building service to our community. Thank you for your friendship, partnership and service. Let me know how I can support you.
