This Week's Rehearsal Schedule
- Monday - Thursday 4pm - 7pm.
- Friday - Home Football Game (details will be given later in the week)
- Saturday Mini Camp - 9am-9pm (bring a sack lunch, dinner will be provided)
Water/Soda Needs - Please Help!
We have depleted our water and soda supply. Water is a high priority. For our new families, normally students are able to bring a water jug to practice to fill with ice and water from the "cow." Due to covid protocols, we are not able to use the cow, so we have to rely on bottled water. If there is any way your student can bring their water jug to rehearsal already filled, this will help us use fewer bottles at rehearsals - if any of our seniors are on minimum day and go home before rehearsals, please try to bring your water jug. Please have your student bring a filled water jug to Mini Camp on Saturday.
What is Needed:
- Water (8 oz bottles are preferred, but no larger than 16oz)
- Gatorade - 51 oz powder cans
- 12 packs - Dr. Pepper, Fanta, Lemonade
Drop Off - practice time this week in the band room hallways near the ice machine or with a chaperone. Thank you for your help!
October 1st Disney Payment
19 families did not make payment by Oct. 1st. Please do so ASAP. Super Holiday will be purchasing park tickets this month and payments need to be current in order for tickets to be purchased for your student. https://superholiday.groupcollect.com/go/lhsmb30066-22
Uniforms - Important
Many students removed the fabric name tags pinned to their uniform pieces. The uniform committee had to retag all of them before the pieces were washed. When your student receives their uniform back this week, please instruct them NOT to remove any name tag pinned to any of the uniform pieces. Thank you!
If your student did not turn in their uniform before Fall Break to be washed, please have them bring it to rehearsal no later than Tuesday so it can be washed before Cobb County Exhibition.
Tickets - Cobb County Exhibition Oct. 11th
- Admission:
- Cash at the Event: $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students
- Digital Tickets: $4.00 and $2.00 plus a $1.00 convenience fee which equals the cash price.
- Tickets can be purchased in advance: at https://gofan.co/app/school/GA73099 or at the gate via QR code.
- Pre-School age children will be admitted free with parents.
If postponed due to weather, GoFan tickets will automatically be transferred to the new date. If event is cancelled, and not rescheduled, refunds WILL be issued.
Payment Dates Summary
All Marching Band fees should be paid.
- Band Fees can be paid here
- December 1st - Concert Band Fee Due ($150) - if your student is enrolled in a band class during the school day, he/she is in concert band. This applies to all marching students.
- Disney Payment Due Dates
- Oct 1st, Nov 1st, Dec 1st, Jan 1st, Feb 1st, March 1st (balance must be paid in full by this date).
October Events
October 11th, the band will perform at the Cobb County Exhibition. A great event where all local bands come together to perform and support each other. Let's fill the stands with parents!
October 16th Competition will be held at Sprayberry High School. Please plan on attending to show support for our students! They have been working so hard! Students should plan on a FULL Day with rehearsal and competition.
Uniform Hemming Guidelines/Lengths
Many students still don't have the correct pant length. Please see a uniform committee member if there are questions. Please read the guidelines. It's important to have a uniform look throughout the band.

Synchronizing the Band Calendar:
Google Calendar Sync and Android Phones
- On your computer, open Google Calendar. (Calendar.Google.com)
- On the left, next to "Other calendars," click Add From URL.
- Enter the calendar's address in the field provided:

- Click Add calendar. The calendar will appear on the left side under "Other calendars."
Note: It may take up to 12 hours for changes to show in your Google Calendar.
IPhones:
- Go into the Settings app
- Touch "Accounts & Passwords"
- On the Accounts & Passwords screen, touch "Add Account"
- On the Add Account screen, touch "Other"
- Under Calendars, touch "Add Subscribed Calendar"
- For the Server value, enter the URL for the teacher calendar:
