Woolen Mill

🧡 Every child matters 🧡

In recognition of the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, also known as Orange Shirt Day, we were privileged to welcome Elder Linda, who smudged the group gathered at the Woolen Mill to learn about the importance of today.

Thank you, Sydney, for sharing a poem which helps to create an awareness of the pain that the residential schools have caused and continue to cause the Indigenous people.

We offer our unwavering support and commitment as an organization to be part of a healthy and collaborative path forward.

Kingston Coal Dock

The Doornekamp Construction Team is pleased to support the work of Tourism Kingston in its efforts to attract Great Lakes Cruise Ships to Kingston and the region. Mural artist EronOne is completing a stunning piece of public art to brighten up the Kingston Coal Dock. Tourism Kingston hopes to welcome Great Lakes cruise ship guests to our dock in 2022.

Read more about the initiatives from this Whig Standard article.

Gibbard District

The Gibbard District Team has completed the first section of the multilevel underground parking garage. As each parking level is poured, an additional level of the elevator shaft is poured. The elevator will eventually reach the top of the Old Mill building and service both parking and Old Mill patrons.

Previously we described the replacement of the of the old Napanee Emergency Water Supply line. Last week, the old white concrete pipe was removed and replaced with the new plastic black pipe. Currently, the black pipe is connected to the old white pipe in the area of Gibbard District Building 1. When work begins on Building 2, the same process will occur for the Emergency Water Supply line in that area of the site.
Our next update is October 27, 2021. Until then, please follow our Facebook page for day to day updates on our projects across eastern Ontario.
