Ministry Needs

Peninsula Grace strives to be a hospitable and welcoming place to foster connection and growth within our church body. We simply cannot run without the help of many incredible volunteers.

As a church, we have many needs that volunteers can help fill. Everything from breakfast bread and coffee on Sunday morning to teaching our children on Sundays and Wednesdays. God has given every one of His children different strengths and passions. If any of your strengths or passions fit the ministries listed above, please click the link below to see how you can get involved!

Reading through Ezekiel

Beginning Monday, September 27th our Peninsula Grace reading plan will take us through the Nook of Ezekiel. Over the course of the next month, we’ll read one of the most important yet confusing books in the Old Testament. And we want to invite you to take this journey with us! You can find a copy of our reading plan in the foyer or online at https://www.peninsulagrace.org/sermons/reading-plan

Before we tackle this challenge together, it’s helpful to understand Ezekiel in a nutshell and see how the book of Ezekiel fits into the grand story of God’s Unfolding Promise.

Be sure to check out the two-part video produced by the Bible Project which overviews Ezekiel. You can find them at: https://bibleproject.com/explore/video/ezekiel

You can also find more information on Ezekiel at https://www.esv.org/resources/esv-global-study-bible/introduction-to-ezekiel/

Ezekiel in a Nutshell

Ezekiel prophesied at a confusing point in the history of God’s people. Many had just been exiled from their homeland by the invading Babylonians and Jerusalem was about to fall. Ezekiel wanted his people to understand these confusing disastrous events. They had rejected God and his good design for their nation. Yet the primary purpose of Ezekiel’s message was to show how would continue to remain faithful to his promises. He would ultimately restore his people and once again dwell with them. He would establish his good and gracious reign by keeping the promises of his covenant.

There are some confusing images in Ezekiel (it won’t take you long to come across them!). But it’s worth the read. It can be easy to think that the confusing unprecedented times we’re living in today are unique. But when we read God’s words to his people at one of their lowest points, we’re reminded that God is using all things toward a perfect end. In Christ, God has come to dwell with us. And like Ezekiel we long to see God dwell with us fully and reign among us completely!

Operation Christmas Child

It’s almost shoebox packing time! That means we could really use your donations! We are looking for small toys, personal care items, clothing, and school supplies that can fit in a shoebox! They can be left in the collection bin in the church entryway.

We are also in need of donations to go towards shipping. Each box costs about $9 to ship. You can designate financial donations for Operation Christmas Child in Breeze! Thank you!

Contact Amber Fischer (907-598-1328) with any questions.
